🐟 Salmon Burgers 🐟

Why buy these pre-made when you can make them yourself in less than 30 minutes? 🤷‍♀️

These salmon burgers were so easy to make, and were the perfect meal to eat outside in the heat, alongside some roasted fennel and cherry tomatoes.

To switch up the traditional hamburger bun, we tried squishing the salmon patties between two naan bread rounds, and it was delicious!

To make the patties:

🐟 Thaw 4 salmon portions (or use about 1lb fresh salmon fillet)

🐟 Cook in the microwave in a steamer for 3 minutes, or until cooked through

🐟 Remove skin and flake the salmon meat. Place in a medium-sized mixing bowl

🐟 Add 2 eggs, about ½ cup panko breadcrumbs, 2 TBSP chopped fresh dill, 2 chopped green onions, 1 TBSP salon rub to the flaked salmon and season to taste with salt and pepper. Mix well and let sit 2-3 minutes.

🐟 Form 6 patties, each with about 1/3 cup of salmon mixture and grill on a BBQ preheated to 500F for a few minutes on each side, until cooked through.

🐟 To assemble the burgers, spread some hummus on the naan bread rounds, and top patty with sprouts or microgreens of choice. Add any toppings you like, like lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, pickles… the sky’s the limit! Enjoy!
